What Easter Brings

Easter is only 23 days away.  Below is a poem written by my Mom on April 15, 2014.  She describes writitng the poem as “a poem that was daunting to write given the subject matter. Words cannot describe or do it justice.”

His body gone, the cross shone bright,
the shadow of love remained.
The sins of mankind fell one by one,
too high a price He paid. Continue reading “What Easter Brings”

A Healing for Mom

In 2007 God healed my Mom.  Below is her story in her own words.  This was originally published in Miracles: Healing for a Broken World by Father Stefan Starzynski with Chris Grzasko.  Nine years after this healing, my Mom is healthy and seems to be getting younger, stronger, and healthier as the years pass!

Healings

By Linda K. Zauzig

In the spring of 2007, I started having some female problems which resulted in a surgical procedure at the hospital.  My health was fine until December of 2007, when exploratory procedures were undertaken to determine the cause of some bleeding.

On December 5, 2007 I was given the bad news that my endometrial lining was excessively thickened.  I was immediately scheduled for an even more invasive procedure – a hystersonogram – the following week, in order for the doctors to view the uterus more clearly.

On December 8, 2007 my son, Kevin, attended Fr. Stefan’s healing Mass.  Kevin was not aware of the severity of my doctor visits; he only knew that I was scheduled for a medical procedure.  Unbeknownst to me, Kevin stood in my stead and prayed for my healing. Continue reading “A Healing for Mom”

Lessons from a Kitten

Baby Scout

On March 3, our 11.5 month old kitten, Scout, passed away suddenly.  It turned out he had an enlarged heart and we didn’t know it.  Scout passed at home very quickly from a heart attack.  That night, as usual, he ate dinner and then started cleaning himself.  The next minute, he tensed up and passed within a minute with me and my husband, Mike, right by his side.  I don’t think he knew what happened. He made no sound and looked very peaceful as I held him in my arms as my husband rushed us to the emergency vet.  We prayed the entire way. There was nothing else we could do and I believed if God wanted to perform a miracle he would and could.  Continue reading “Lessons from a Kitten”

Two Feathers – March 9, 2017

March 9, 2017 – a typical Thursday morning.  I woke up and went into the living room.  On my backup drive attached to my laptop, I found this feather.  Just one day after posting my first article about finding feathers from angels.  I feel like it’s a sign and encouragement from the angels saying “keep going!”

March 9, 2017, I found a feather on my computer.

When Angels are Near Feathers Appear

One way angels communicate to us is through feathers. I started discovering feathers after my Mom found her first feather. She was home, minding her own business, in and out of the same room multiple times throughout the day. Then, on one particular trip back into her bedroom, she found a green feather on her nightstand with no logical explanation. Continue reading “When Angels are Near Feathers Appear”

Hello from Tigger

My husband’s beloved family dog, Tigger, passed away in March 2011. He and I had a special bond. I liked to dress him up in different headbands to coordinate with each season. It started with my family’s dog, Reason’s, antler headband for Christmas.
