My Mom, Linda K. Zauzig, writes about her recent experience of feeling the Holy Spirit last Sunday, May 20, on Pentecost Sunday. Have you ever felt the Holy Spirit in you? Leave your stories below in the comments!
I want to tell you about a really wonderful thing that happened to me in church yesterday. I had come back from communion and had my eyes closed, listening to the choir. I realized that I was feeling the Holy Spirit in my heart, because when that happens, my heart beats really fast even though I’m perfectly still. This has happened for as long as I can remember. It is how I know the Holy Spirit is there with me. Then all of sudden, I heard in my head — in a neutral sounding voice, is the best way I can describe it — saying “Linda, The Holy Spirit is in you, and He is protecting you.“ It was Pentecostal Sunday, which I didn’t know what that meant. It was a very busy day in church because the bishop was there commemorating 200 years of the church’s founding and also it was Pentecostal Sunday. They had a really great service where they incorporated many different languages as the sermon. Chuck asked me at lunch what the Pentecost meant and I said I don’t know but let’s Google it later. That evening, I Googled Pentecost, and it is when the Holy Spirit came upon the apostles on the 10th day after the ascension of Christ. In other words, it is all about the Holy Spirit literally wrapping around the apostles. In pictures, it is portrayed as fire around the apostles. What makes this story more poignant is that I wasn’t aware that’s the significance of what Pentecost meant, but I was graced with the message that the Holy Spirit is with me and is protecting me — on Pentecostal Sunday, which is utterly amazing.
Earlier this week, on Tuesday morning, my Mom sent me a article on Facebook Messenger about how angels communicate with people. The article mentioned feathers (check!), numbers (check!) and ringing in ears (check!). I read the article and wrote back to her. I told her I heard angels communicate to people by sending downloads to people’s ears and I get them a lot. She saw I replied and opened Messenger. A reply to my comment was already typed but not sent. She didn’t type it. Continue reading “A Tuesday Miracle”
Today is Easter 2017, the day Jesus rose from the dead! I am excited to share a story about Jesus and a miracle my family witnessed in 1989. Written by my mother and my brother’s perspectives. This story has been shared with family and friends over the years since it happened and now I have the opportunity to share it with you and the world! I believe this happened 28 years ago to increase faith into anyone that hears/reads this story.
God knows us and our full lives from before we were conceived to our last breath. He knows the steps we are going to take before we take them. I believe God had the story play out as it did because He knew today, April 16, 2017, I would share the story with the story the world. I believe my Grandmother did not get healed from cancer so our family and the world can strengthen our faith from this experience and know that Jesus does exist. I was only five years old when this happened and if I had been able to read, I may have thought this was a normal experience and kept it to myself. This day breathed faith into my life. It’s all I know; that God truly exists. I know it’s hard for some people to believe something they cannot see, touch, feel, hear with their senses, but that is what faith is all about. Believing the intangible. Continue reading “Jesus Exists”

Easter is only 23 days away. Below is a poem written by my Mom on April 15, 2014. She describes writitng the poem as “a poem that was daunting to write given the subject matter. Words cannot describe or do it justice.”
What Easter Brings
By Linda K. Zauzig
His body gone, the cross shone bright,
the shadow of love remained.
The sins of mankind fell one by one,
too high a price He paid. Continue reading “What Easter Brings”
In 2007 God healed my Mom. Below is her story in her own words. This was originally published in Miracles: Healing for a Broken World by Father Stefan Starzynski with Chris Grzasko. Nine years after this healing, my Mom is healthy and seems to be getting younger, stronger, and healthier as the years pass!

In the spring of 2007, I started having some female problems which resulted in a surgical procedure at the hospital. My health was fine until December of 2007, when exploratory procedures were undertaken to determine the cause of some bleeding.
On December 5, 2007 I was given the bad news that my endometrial lining was excessively thickened. I was immediately scheduled for an even more invasive procedure – a hystersonogram – the following week, in order for the doctors to view the uterus more clearly.
On December 8, 2007 my son, Kevin, attended Fr. Stefan’s healing Mass. Kevin was not aware of the severity of my doctor visits; he only knew that I was scheduled for a medical procedure. Unbeknownst to me, Kevin stood in my stead and prayed for my healing. Continue reading “A Healing for Mom”
